When we process a message, we may save a copy of relevant content to display in your dashboard.
When you subscribe to a paid plan: We require that you share your billing information. This information is mandatory, as we use it to bill you. Our online payment processing system is provided by Stripe.com. You can view Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/us/privacy.
Our legal bases for processing
We process information lawfully, fairly and transparently. We only collect and process information about you where:
- it is necessary for us to provide you the email inbox triage service we offer

We retain information for our sales records and to facilitate additional support after your order is complete. If necessary, we may retain your personal information for our compliance with a legal obligation or in order to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of another natural person.

Google user data and Limited Use
When you connect your Gmail account, Currtis requests the following Google API scopes, and uses the data solely for the purposes described:
- See your primary Google Account email address (
userinfo.email) — to identify your account and create your Currtis account. - Read, compose, send, and permanently delete all your email from Gmail (
gmail.modify) — Currtis reads incoming messages in order to classify them against your rules and preferences, and applies or removes labels to sort your inbox. Currtis does not send, delete, or alter the content of your messages. - Manage your Gmail labels (
gmail.labels) — to create and maintain the labels Currtis sorts your mail into. - Manage your basic mail settings (
gmail.settings.basic) — to read basic settings needed to triage your inbox correctly.
Currtis's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We only use Google user data to provide and improve the user-facing inbox-triage features of Currtis.
- We do not transfer or sell Google user data to third parties, except as necessary to provide or improve the service, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets after notice to you.
- We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising.
- We do not allow humans to read your Google user data unless: (a) we have your explicit consent to read specific messages; (b) it is necessary for security purposes, such as investigating abuse; (c) it is required to comply with applicable law; or (d) the data has been aggregated and anonymized and is used for internal operations.
Automated classification of your mail
Classifying your mail is the core function of Currtis, and it is done by an artificial-intelligence language model. To classify a message, Currtis sends the message's sender, recipients, subject, headers, and body text, together with your own rules and training examples, to the model. This happens automatically for incoming mail; no person reads the message.
Depending on which model gives the best accuracy and cost at the time, that model may run on our own servers or be operated on our behalf by an AI provider acting as our data processor. Where a provider is used, we send only what is needed to classify the message, and we only use providers that are contractually bound to:
- process your data solely to return a classification to Currtis, and for no purpose of their own;
- not use your data to train, fine-tune, or otherwise improve their models;
- not retain your data beyond what is needed to serve the request; and
- not disclose your data to anyone else, except as required by law.
We may change which model or provider we use as models improve. The commitments above apply to any provider we use, and we will update this policy if the nature of this processing changes. You can ask us at any time which provider is currently in use by contacting us at the address at the end of this policy.
Disclosure of personal information to third parties
Like every website, Currtis.com is supported by third-party providers to facilitate the provision of a transactional website. These include DNS management, web hosting, web analytics platforms, payment processing (Stripe), and the AI model provider that classifies your mail, as described under “Automated classification of your mail” above.
We will comply with government and law enforcement requests for data, as required by law, in connection with any actual or prospective legal proceedings, or in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to marketers or third parties.
International transfers of personal information
The data we retain is stored and processed in N. Virginia, USA and/or where we and our third-party providers maintain facilities. By providing us with your personal information, you consent to the disclosure of your information to these third parties.
Your rights as our user
Choice and consent: By providing your information to us, you consent to us collecting, holding, using and disclosing it in accordance with this privacy policy. You are free to refuse our request for information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you our services without it. Retaining, deleting, and revoking access to your data
You can revoke Currtis's access to your Google account at any time directly from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access immediately stops Currtis from receiving any further data from your Gmail account.
We retain the Google user data we store only for as long as needed to provide the service to you. When you disconnect your account, revoke access, or ask us to delete your data, we delete the Google user data we hold about you (including any stored copies of message content) from our active systems within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it to comply with a legal obligation. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us at https://currtis.com/contact.
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of data that our website stores on your computer, and accesses each time you visit, so we can perform certain functions and understand how you use our site. We use first-party and third-party cookies to customize your Currtis.com experience (user preferences, payment processing, troubleshooting, and website analytics).
