Welcome to Currtis. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Currtis's website, services, and applications (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Currtis is an automated email inbox triage service that:

• Connects to your email account via secure authentication
• Monitors your incoming emails and analyzes them
• Sorts and labels messages based on your rules and learned preferences
• May automatically file, label, or remove messages from your inbox
• Provides a dashboard to review, manage, and adjust how your mail is sorted
• Allows you to whitelist trusted senders and domains and to blacklist unwanted ones

2. User Accounts and Authentication

To use Currtis, you must:

• Have a valid email account
• Grant Currtis permission to access your email data
• Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction)
• Provide accurate and complete information during registration

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Email Access and Message Handling

Important Notice: Currtis requires permission to read and modify messages in your email inbox. By using the Service, you explicitly authorize Currtis to:

• Read email messages to triage and classify them
• Apply labels to, move, or otherwise organize messages based on your rules and learned preferences
• Store copies of relevant message data for review and dashboard display purposes
• Access email metadata including sender information, subject lines, and message content

You acknowledge and agree that:

• Message sorting and labeling may occur automatically without prior notice
• Misclassifications may occur, and messages may be sorted or labeled in ways you did not intend
• You can review and adjust how messages are handled through the Currtis dashboard
• We make reasonable efforts to accurately triage your mail, but cannot guarantee perfect accuracy

4. Sorting and Detection Criteria

Currtis triages messages based on the following criteria:

• Sender, domain, subject, and message content
• Rules you create or that are learned from how you organize your mail
• Common patterns such as newsletters, receipts, and verification codes
• Sender reputation and email authentication signals

Messages from senders and domains you have whitelisted will be handled according to your preferences. You can manage your whitelist and blacklist through the Settings page.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
• Not attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service
• Not use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
• Review your rule and whitelist settings to ensure your mail is sorted the way you expect
• Regularly check the Currtis dashboard for any incorrectly handled messages
• Maintain backup copies of important emails through other means
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service

6. Service Modifications and Availability

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice
• Change triage criteria and algorithms
• Update these Terms at any time (continued use constitutes acceptance)
• Limit features or restrict access to certain users

The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

7. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Revoking Currtis's access in your Google Account settings
• Contacting us to request account deletion

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

• You violate these Terms
• Your use poses a security or legal risk
• Your account has been inactive for an extended period
• Required by law

Upon termination, we will cease monitoring your email inbox, but previously collected data may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• Guarantees of triage or classification accuracy
• Assurances that messages will always be sorted or labeled as intended
• Promises of service availability or uptime

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CURRTIS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Misclassified or mislabeled email messages
• Messages that were not triaged as expected
• Loss of important email data or missed communications
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Damages exceeding the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months (if any)

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Currtis, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Misclassified or mishandled messages that result in missed communications or obligations

10. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. Key points include:

• We access your email data solely to provide inbox triage services
• We store relevant message data to enable dashboard review and management functionality
• We comply with applicable data protection regulations and industry standards
• We do not sell or share your email data with third parties for marketing purposes

11. Data Security and Processing

Currtis maintains strict data security and processing standards to protect your information:

• We only use your email data to provide and improve our inbox triage features
• We do not transfer your data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service
• We do not use your data for advertising purposes
• Human access to your data is restricted to specific scenarios (debugging, security, compliance)

12. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, content, and trademarks, is owned by Currtis and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
• Use our trademarks without prior written permission
• Remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices

13. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services, including:

• Email service provider APIs
• Payment processing services (Stripe)
• Hosting and infrastructure providers

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

14. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court.

You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Currtis regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

17. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

• You understand that Currtis may automatically sort, label, and move messages in your email inbox
• You accept the risk of misclassification (messages being sorted or labeled in unintended ways)
• You will regularly review your rule and whitelist settings and your sorted messages
• You maintain responsibility for important emails and should keep backups
